Dental Emergency

What to do in the Event of A Dental Emergency

Lost Filling - Filling Fell Out

When a filling falls out a trip to the dentist is usually necessary to have it replaced.  Although this is not considered an emergency, you should consider having the tooth refilled soon to avoid further deterioration.

Most fillings are shallow enough to enable you to go without treatment for a few days without any further problems, but when in doubt call your dentist sooner than later.

In the meantime you may try applying a little wax, gum or Vaseline on the area to protect it until your dental visit.  You can also purchase a small tube of thick ointment from your pharmacy.  Mix up the ointment and place in the opening to block food from entering.
