Clients are
expected to settle accounts at the time of their
appointment according to our regular financial policy
(see financial). We will complete all the forms
immediately to insure prompt reimbursement from the
dental benefits carrier.
We have electronic data interchange with most carriers
and reimbursement is usually in one to two weeks.
We can file an estimate to your insurance company to
predetermine the extent of your benefits. Often the reply from the insurance
company can sound confusing or appear that they are
declining a benefit. We recommend you bring the letter
in to us and let us review it with you to explain and
clarify the information. It may be necessary to send
more information such as x-rays or a description of the
problem.
Our fees are always at or less than the current Ontario
Dental Association Suggested Fee Guide. If your benefits
package is on an outdated fee guide or only pays a
percentage of a procedure fee, you will only be
partially reimbursed. Often benefits packages change
from time to time and you may not be aware of the
change. Therefore we recommend you send an estimate of
work and get a predetermination of the amount of the
benefit. This prevents any nasty surprises later and
makes for better financial planning of your necessary
dental care. |
