EFFECTIVE BRUSHING TECHNIQUES

When brushing your teeth, take at least three minutes to complete a thorough job. Brushing too hard and using a hard bristled toothbrush are not recommended as the gums will tend to recede and expose root surface. The tooth structure can also wear down. A pea-sized amount of fluoridated toothpaste is sufficient. A worn out toothbrush will not effectively and properly clean your teeth, so be sure to replace your brush when the bristles begin to spread.
